In the first half, Iraq war combat veteran Joseph Soel discussed his experiences during the war, and his journey of grappling with PTSD. Deployed in 2008, he said the war was marked by “long periods of boredom… punctuated by sheer terror.” His book title, “The Broken Mirror of Memory,” symbolizes his struggle to piece together traumatic memories of war. “Healing is a process,” he shared, and “you don’t come home from a combat zone unchanged. No one does, and we all have to find our own ways to deal with that.” He recounted a harrowing night when his base was hit by five rockets. “I remember running with a Combat Lifesaver bag,” he recalled, “There was a lot of fire, a lot of smoke…a lot of chaos.” He dedicated his book to fallen comrades, expressing deep survivor’s guilt: “I stood there saluting as seven flag-draped coffins came off of trucks… I can’t live it down…so I’ll just stand there saluting on this tarmac in the middle of the night for the rest of my life.”
Soel emphasized a profound connection with the Iraqi people, stating, “I didn’t have a particular quarrel with them whatsoever,” and this sparked a significant spiritual realization for him. The human connections he formed, particularly with an Iraqi translator named Ali were powerful. “I found throughout that there were wonderful people in the Muslim world who just wanted the same things we want here in the United States,” he noted.
Discussing PTSD, he described it as “waking up to nightmares with no context,” revealing the long-lasting effects of trauma. He encouraged others to write their stories for catharsis and acknowledged that healing is an ongoing process that is never entirely resolved. “I think that just like grief…you sort of grow around your own wound.”

In the latter half, C2C’s investigative reporter Cheryll Jones presented her interview with researcher Elana Freeland about the growing recognition of chemtrails and geoengineering, particularly in light of comments made by Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. Freeland, who has been involved in anti-geoengineering activism for nearly 20 years, expressed her surprise at Kennedy’s acknowledgment of chemtrails as a real issue, stating, “I was shocked… to hear him use the term DARPA,” referring to the Pentagon’s secretive research arm that she believes is linked to weather modification technologies. She told Cheryll that the narrative surrounding geoengineering often masks its true nature as a weapon system.
Addressing the connection between chemtrails and health issues like Morgellons, Freeland warned about the dangers of synthetic biology and nanotechnology that she contends are present in chemtrails. “These chemical changes are influenced by the electromagnetism that now makes our entire world wireless…which ultimately will control your nervous system,” she declared. Her insights come as a number of US states consider legislation to address the geoengineering issue, marking a significant shift in public discourse.
Freeland outlined seven geoengineering operations that she believes are interconnected, including “geoengineered fires,” which she alleges are used to manipulate land ownership and prices, “neural manipulation,” a kind of mind control via satellites, and directed energy weapons. The conversation turned to alarming findings from lab tests conducted by “Health Ranger” Mike Adams, who claimed that they revealed “alien-like organisms” in chemtrail samples. Friedman suggested that these “self-replicating entities” represent a dangerous form of synthetic biology.
