UPDATE: Eau Claire City- County Health Department gives COVID update

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) –

29,817 negative tests results.

3,656 confirmed positive cases total.

16 deaths, an increase for four- all over the age of 65 with underlying conditions.

The county is averaging 115 cases a day.

1,060 cases in the past two weeks.

All areas of the county are seeing an increase of cases.

210 at the jail tested, 11 positive and 10 recovered.

24 new outbreaks, which puts the county in the red zone.

41% community spread, which is also in the red.

The health department say the increase in cases is not looking good and we need to work together with one another to be the community that we are proud to be.

The Eau Claire City- County Health Department is scheduled to give a COVID-19 update at 3:30 p.m.
