Trump Campaign Makes Unfounded Election Fraud Allegations At Informal Hearing In Phoenix

Members of the Trump campaign held an informal hearing with Arizona lawmakers in downtown Phoenix on Monday. The campaign continued to make unfounded claims about election fraud on the same day that Arizona’s vote count was certified.
Supporters of President Trump gathered outside the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Phoenix while members of the campaign met inside with a handful of state lawmakers.
The group hoped to prompt a special session of the Legislature to investigate alleged voting irregularities from the general election.
Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani made false claims about mail-in ballot fraud in Arizona while at the same time acknowledging Republicans had fared well in down-ballot races.
Arizona’s statewide election canvass was certified Monday afternoon by the governor, attorney general and secretary of state.
