Don’t risk lives to go green

There are no exclusively solar or wind powered manufacturing plants and there never will be. If you find one, check around to see if there are diesel generators somewhere. There will be.

As for electric cars, look into where the lithium for the batteries comes from, and what it does to the environment when it is extracted from the earth. The only way we will have the capacity to run tens of millions of these cars is with nuclear energy. Hopefully that is somewhere on the back page of Canada’s green energy plan.

The smart people who design things will have steady employment for years to come.

But if we here in Winnipeg experience brownouts and rolling blackouts in the winter or sweltering summer like they get in California, people will die. I sincerely hope that is not what it takes for a change in course.
