CLASSIC: Extinction Rebellion ‘protesters’ send home ‘activist’ for testing ‘positive’ for the ‘virus’ with a ‘lateral flow test’ that is even more useless than the PCR test not testing for the ‘virus’. Moronic just does not cut it
An activist staying at the Extinction Rebellion campsite near St Ives has gone home after testing positive for Covid-19 using a lateral flow test.
There are about 400 people camping at the site.
A statement from Extinction Rebellion at around 11.30pm last night told their followers “One of our rebels on the main XR campsite has developed covid symptoms today and has taken a lateral flow test which came back positive. The individual has gone home to self isolate.
“We have identified the close contacts and are providing lateral flow test kits for them.
“We wanted to provide you with all the information that we have so that you can make your own decision about continuing with your Rebellion.
“We have decided to go ahead with Sunday’s activities for those that wish to continue, and we will keep the situation under review. We will keep you informed of any developments.
“We urge all rebels to adhere to the control measures set out in our COVID risk assessments. This will minimise the risk of coronavirus transmission”.
