Anti-Vax Woman Brought Down by Terrible Spelling

Vaccine cards. They’re so easy to fake, they said. You can just…make one, they said. This may still be true but at least one person has reportedly been caught in the act: An Illinois woman, Chloe Mrozak, tried to enter Hawaii with a vaccine card that claimed she had gotten the “Maderna” vaccine in Delaware, five weeks apart, according to Hawaii News Now. As any terrible speller knows, it’s always thase pisky vowals that sonk you.

This isn’t the only allegedly faked vax card that Hawaii officials have discovered, the outlet noted, but this one is perhaps the worst. The handwriting…the dates…the spelling. After a tweet went viral that included the card and her headshot, someone else on Twitter said the card showed that both doses were from the same batch of vaccines. Officials also tried to verify records but could not find her in Delaware’s system, according to Newsweek. Mrozak tried awfully hard and failed on almost every level. It’s a real what-not-to-do for the sneakiest of anti-vaxxers, unfortunately.

Mrozak also provided false information about her hotel reservation, so she was still able to have her Hawaiian vacation, only arriving into custody when she flew out on Saturday, per Hawaii News Now. Falsifying the document is a misdemeanor offense and her bail is set at $2,000, the outlet noted, though it will also cost her internet iniquity, plus probably a legion of anti-vax support. One wonders if the GoFundMe already exists or is only days away from existing.
