COVID-19

Epidemiologist explains main differences between colds and ‘Covid’ (There ARE none!!). ‘Covid’ has apparently had a ‘symptoms change’ that makes them more like a cold. Jeeez, who pays these people?

As autumn and winter approaches, with it comes the inevitable cold season. Yet, many will be left troubled as they sport symptoms which could actually be Covid – so how can you tell the difference through the symptoms?

Professor Tim Spector, an epidemiologist, has said that there may be some cause for confusion as the symptoms for coronavirus have changed following variants and the implementation of the vaccine. Government guidelines currently warn that the most important symptoms of Covid-19 are recent onset of a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of or change in normal sense of taste and smell.

Appearing on This Morning, Professor Spector said: “All we can say for sure is that the top five symptoms at the moment are very different to the ones that the government is talking about.

“So we have a million people each week giving us their data and telling us whether they’re testing positive or negative and – of those testing positive – we’re seeing a completely different picture of the comment symptoms. “Other countries have recognised this but for some reason the UK has tried to ignore it.

“It’s causing problems because many people – perhaps up to half of cases – are going unrecognised because they basically have symptoms that are very cold-like.
