Woman sings anti-vax version of Mariah Carey song and it’s as cringe as you’d expect
It’s no secret that some people are against the Covid-19 vaccine and aren’t afraid to express it.
But one woman at a San Diego, California county meeting took it a step further by performing an anti-vax rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You”- and it’s as cringey as you would expect.
At the San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting, the woman, who identified herself as Bridgette, wore a Santa hat and a red shirt as she strode up to the podium to sing.
She then performed a heavily altered version of Carey’s song, which included lyrics condemning masks and vaccines, and claimed that natural immunity is the answer to the Omicron coronavirus strain.
The board was contemplating whether to support a local health-emergency order extension and the woman, among other local residents, addressed their thoughts when invited to speak.

In the song, the woman seemingly promoted the medications ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, which have been wrongly marketed as Covid-19 treatments by anti-vaxxers.
She also noted that schools should stay open and that she doesn’t “want a lot for Christmas, just body autonomy” when it comes to vaccines.
“I don’t care about the variants, because of natural immunity,” she said.
The use of ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid-19 has been cautioned by the US Food and Drug Administration.
Here are some of the other alternative lyrics in her song:
“I just want my freedom now, the constitution will show us how, make my dreams come true. End the state of emergency and acknowledge early treatment too…I just want my freedom now, the constitution will show us how, make my dreams come true, baby I … end the emergency.”
The board recorded the meeting, and her version of the song can be seen at the 2:03:47 minute-mark below.

This isn’t the first time someone appeared to write a song suggesting the reason to not get a vaccine.
In August, British musician Eric Clapton released what appeared to be a lyrical rant against vaccines and pandemic limitations.
A wicked puppeteer and protesters waving posters reading “Liberty” and “Stop” appear in the animated music video for the famed guitarist’s apparent anti-vaccine anthem “This Has Gotta Stop.”
