There are two types of election fraud | Letters to the Editor | chronicleonline.com
Committing fraud in an election is a crime usually by an individual and has never affected the outcome of an election. Here in Florida there were two cases of election fraud perpetrated by two Village Republican residents.
In the 2020 election, 60 cases of mass voter fraud were dismissed by judges for lack of evidence. There is another type of fraud, which can affect the outcome of an election and it is election fraud.
Election fraud is when those in power subvert the will of the people by instituting laws suppressing the right to vote and electing partisan election officials who can alter the counting of votes, thereby, rigging elections so they alone remain in power.
That is how democracies die and autocracies rise. I pray our country will survive these troubled times and come together united in an effort to become a more perfect union.
