QOTD: ARE YOU GOING TO FIRE YOUR DOCTOR?

Are you going to fire your doctor?

My primary care specialist, whom my wife and I see annually for physical and the occasional urgent need, had always been awesome, until COVID. She is not an MD, rather she is an APRN working under an MD, whom I have never seen, nor my wife, even after being hospitalized (wife) by her for a cerebral aneurysm. We had always respected her and her knowledge greatly.

As this year‘s physical looms, I find that my feelings toward her have changed greatly. I attempted to educate her regarding Covid and the vaccines, and ivermectin and HCQ for prophylaxis and early intervention, not just through word of mouth, but by forwarding scholarly articles to her. After visiting her at a later time, I discovered she did not do any due diligence on these articles, Instead only accepting the hospitals policy for the treatment of her patients.

When I mentioned this yesterday to my wife, she replied “but she could’ve lost her job“. To which I replied “I did, why shouldn’t she also make a stand for the good of her patients?”

She towed the line for the hospital when I requested a medical exemption to try to keep my 22 year career intact. I find that the idea of going to her office, or any medical facility for a blood draw leaves me wondering whether or not I might become secretly vaccinated or have other unwanted medical attention.

I can see the utility of a surgeon or an ER doc at this point in my life; if something is leaking plug it, if something is broken, fix it. I find that I want a little more to do with the medical industry anymore, the trust is broken.

Just wondering how others in the community are feeling in regards to their medical practitioners?
