How the stars (with lots of help from “our free press”) are spinning their “adverse events” as feel-good news
Guest Post by Mark Crispin Miller
Meanwhile, not even those whose working lives have been destroyed by “vaccination” dare even mention it, much less question it
See how these celebrities, and “our free press,” have variously tried to spin the formers’ sudden weird afflictions as feel-good news of one kind or another: Bruce Willis is doing really great these days, notwithstanding the aphasia that has ended his career; Justin and Hailey Bieber are “closer than ever,” since her blood clot and his facial paralysis; Jeff Bridges waxes Old and Wise about “mortality,” since his struggle with lymphoma and “COVID-19”; Miles Teller lately mined his “health scare” on the set of Top Gun: Maverick (body rash, anomalous blood poisoning) for a Funny Story about Tom Cruise, shared on “Late Night with Seth Myers”; and so on.
While such feel-good stories have made lots of headlines, and therefore come up abundantly online, it’s been more difficult to find the grimmer stories of celebrities who have not put a smiley-face on their afflictions: Celine Dion, whose last tour was canceled because of her “ongoing health issues,” much to her keen “disappointment”; Jenna Jameson, “still in a wheelchair”; and all those once-stellar athletes forced into premature retirement by their disparate crippling injuries. If and when you happen on such gloomy items, you should certainly download them, since that kind of information is increasingly taboo, and may even be illegal before long.
And here we’re dealing not with stories of celebrities (and countless others) who’ve “died suddenly,” but with the relatively “happier” accounts of stars not killed outright, but only sidelined and/or incapacitated by their (please, let’s be honest) more-than-likely “vaccination.” Whether they end “tragically” or not, all such disconcerting stories of “adverse events” will soon be equally taboo—just as it’s now utterly taboo to mention, or suggest, that the departed, or disabled, was injected. Such stories are increasingly taboo, because they altogether tell the awful truth that both “our” government and “our free press” don’t want the rest of us to know, because that awful truth will make us free at last, by making clear what both of them have done to us.

The Biebers have had a scary 2022. Hailey Bieber stopped by Live With Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday where she updated fans on their health situations. Hailey is still recovering from a ministroke she suffered in March while Justin Bieber was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome that’s causing facial paralysis.
“I’m OK, I feel good,” the 25-year-old model told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, adding she’s “still trying to give my body time to heal.”
“I had something called a TIA, which is a ministroke,” she explained. “I had a small blood clot that traveled through a hole in my heart that I was born with that never closed and went to my brain… I never knew I had a hole in my heart.”
The Rhode beauty founder called it a “blessing in disguise” as the procedure closed the hole. “So now I have a device in my heart forever,” she revealed.

During an appearance on Tuesday’s episode (June 14) of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 35-year-old actor revealed the “moment” he shared with his co-star Tom Cruise on set.
Miles recalled one day from the film’s shoot where he suffered an allergic reaction that caused him to have “head to toe” hives.
“We landed, and I thought ‘Man, I’m not feeling too good,’” he said. “I was really hot and I just started itching like crazy. So I got out of the jet. I’m just covered in hives. Head to toe. I go to a doctor. I do a blood analysis. I’m in an oatmeal bath that night. I have sensitive skin anyway, truth be told, Irish-Scottish skin. No dyes, no nothing.”
After a blood test, Miles was told there was “flame-retardant, pesticide, and jet fuel” in his blood.
He continued, “I go to set the next day and Tom‘s like ‘How did it go Miles? What did they find?’”
“I was like, ‘Well, Tom, it turns out I have jet fuel in my blood.’ And without even skipping a beat Tom goes ‘Yeah, I was born with it, kid,’” he said. “So that was a very Tom moment for me.”

Somehow after many decades in the movies, including an Oscar win for his work in “Crazy Heart,” Jeff Bridges can’t seem to shake his association with one signature role – two, maybe, if you count his messianic programmer Flynn from “Tron.”
As for the other, you know who I’m talking about, right? That guy might describe the last few years for Bridges as involving “a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-yous,” if he were putting it far too lightly. Bridges himself describes it as a “dream” culminating in the FX action thriller “The Old Man,” an adaptation of Thomas Perry’s 2017 novel that marks Bridges’ first leading role in a TV series.
Bridges plays ex-CIA operative Dan Chase, a man who managed to disappear for decades until an assassin shows up at his door. This surprises the cops, to whom Chase appears to be a harmless elderly widower, one who hasn’t seen his daughter in some time. (For a while, we don’t either.) But by that point, the audience has already come to understand how dangerous it is to cross Dan, based on the trepidation with which his one-time government ally Harold Harper (John Lithgow) and Harper’s right-hand Angela Adams (Alia Shawkat) approach hunting him.
“The Old Man” shows the 72-year-old Bridges getting thrown around, slamming against walls and hard floors, and even considering the production’s usage of a stunt double, it’s an incredibly physical portrayal. Bridges credits the stunt coordinators’ expertise for making the combat look so realistic. “It’s like figuring out a dance routine or something,” he told me in a recent episode of “Salon Talks.”
Any knocks Bridges may have sustained are nothing next to the battles he fought and won since the series was first announced in 2019. Production was underway when the pandemic forced it to halt, resuming for a brief time before the actor announced he’d been diagnosed with lymphoma after doctors found a 9-by-12-inch mass in his stomach.
Then he contracted COVID during chemotherapy treatments, a setback that very nearly killed him. To hear him tell it from the other side, Bridges describes it as “dancing with his mortality,” an altogether different type of fight choreography.

Jenna Jameson is home and “resting” after spending nearly two months in the hospital. The 47-year-old posted a health update on Tuesday, revealing she still can’t walk and doctors are unsure exactly what’s going on.
“I still have more testing to do but it seems there’s something off with my femoral nerve, and it’s affecting my strength in my legs,” the former adult film star shared on social media.
The femoral nerve is located in the pelvis and goes down the front of the leg. Femoral nerve dysfunction is a loss of movement or sensation in parts of the legs due to damage of the nerve. There are various disorders that could cause femoral nerve dysfunction.
“So I am still in a wheelchair, unfortunately, but I hope to be out of the wheelchair soon and walking,” Jameson added on her Instagram story. “So say a little prayer.”

Bob Odenkirk has opened up about his heart attack while on the set of his AMC series Better Call Saul back in July 2021, an experience that Odenkirk has no memory of but resulted in the actor having stents put into his heart.
In an interview with The New York Times, Odenkirk recounts the ordeal, which he was able to piece together through co-star Rhea Seehorn and others who were there at the time. The actor said the cause of the medical emergency on July 28, 2021, was the result of a history of plaque buildup in his heart. “I’d known since 2018 that I had this plaque buildup in my heart,” Odenkirk said. “I went to two heart doctors at Cedars-Sinai, and I had dye and an M.R.I. and all that stuff, and the doctors disagreed.”
After getting different advice from two separate doctors on treatment, Odenkirk followed the suggestion of the second professional, who said he didn’t need to immediately start medication. The actor said he had remained fine up until that moment, when “one of those pieces of plaque broke up.”
“We were shooting a scene, we’d been shooting all day, and luckily I didn’t go back to my trailer,” he said. Instead, he retreated to a location on one of the show’s “massive” soundstages where he and co-stars Patrick Fabian and Seehorn hung out. He says that decision resulted in him not being alone and allowed for more immediate help when his heart attack happened.
“I went to play the Cubs game and ride my workout bike, and I just went down,” Odenkirk recounted of the experience, during which he, at one point, laid on the ground without a pulse. “Rhea said I started turning bluish-gray right away.”
Fabian and Seehorn were both with Odenkirk when he had the heart attack, and their screams in response to the Better Call Saul star’s medical event were what alerted one of the production’s medics, who responded to him. It was specifically the show’s health safety supervisor, Rosa Estrada, and assistant director, Angie Meyer, who arrived to help administer CPR before hooking the actor up to an automated defibrillator. Their second attempt resulted in an irregular pulse that the Times reports quickly disappeared.
“The third time it got me that rhythm back,” Odenkirk said.

The Calgary Stampeders announced Monday that national defensive lineman Connor McGough has been placed on the retired list.
The 26-year-old, Medicine Hat, Alta. native was selected fourth overall by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2017 CFL Draft. During his time as a Ticat, McGough played three seasons (2017-2019), appearing in 51 games, recording 14 defensive tackles and 33 special teams tackles, one sack and two forced fumbles.
Following his time with the Ticats, McGough joined the Calgary Stampeders but spent the 2021 season on the retired list while recovering from myocarditis.
“Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I am retiring from football,” said McGough in a statement issued by the Stampeders. “It is very unfortunate but it’s important I take care of myself and get healthy. I’d like to thank the Stampeders organization for staying by my side during everything and for being so supportive. I wish all the players and staff a great season.”
“It’s very unfortunate that Connor’s medical condition did not improve to a point that would allow him to continue his football career,” said Stampeders president and general manager John Hufnagel. “On behalf of the organization, I wish him good health and the best of luck in his future endeavours.”

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -At 6′3″ 215 pounds, Hayden Revels makes for a pretty good cleanup hitter! He was hitting .364 with 23 RBI and 2 homers until his time on the diamond came to a screeching halt after the team’s first round playoff game with Jay.
”Before that game, my arm was swelled up, and we were like, ‘Okay this ain’t good, but we’re still going to play.” Hayden says.
His best friend Trent Pilcher, knew something was off. ”He was supposed to pitch that game. He said, ‘Man, my arm, it just doesn’t feel right,’ and I looked and it was just swollen up big. I noticed it was a little discolored, and I said, ‘Man, you really need to go get that looked at. I hate to say it, but that’s more important than this game right now.”
Hayden didn’t pitch, but he did play in the game. Afterwards, they headed to the hospital.
“They did an ultrasound where they saw I had a blood clot in my arm.” Revels told us. It turns out Hayden had Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, a life threatening issue. “So they sent me up to UAB to have surgery and get my first rib taken out up here.”
The surgery caused Hayden to miss the Blue Devils regional championship win and their trip to the state tournament.
