What to do if someone you love is hospitalized for COVID

Here’s what I would do: get them out of the hospital ASAP.

We know from all the surveys that we do that it isn’t COVID that is killing people from COVID: it is the hospital treatment protocols.

Hospitals maximize their revenue and also avoid liability by following what the CDC says. So that’s what they do. It’s not rocket science.

It’s not about your health or superior outcomes. It’s not about compassion. It’s about maximizing revenue for the hospital and avoiding liability.

This is why the protocol never changes over time.

People die and the hospitals profit from each death.

Here’s what I would do

Here’s what I would do for myself, or for someone who urgently needed to be hospitalized.

If the person needed immediate hospitalization and you don’t have the items needed to treat the person at home, you have choice: check them into the hospital, but with a medical power of attorney delegated to a family member.

Then I would quickly line up a doctor (who could be remote) and nurse (who should be local) who could coordinate healthcare at home. In my case, I have this lined up in advance, but you should be able to line this up quickly.

The nurse should quickly procure the needed equipment and medicines, e.g., an oxygen generator, a nebulizer, distilled water, salt, budesonide, IV delivery, IV drugs (vitamin C, etc).

Once everything is in place, the responsible party should check out the injured person against medical advice (AMA) and transfer care to the physician/nurse team who is lined up to treat the person.

It’s not that complicated.

I hope this advice saves a lot of lives.
