Black Panther Star Letitia Wright Still Haunted by Anti-Vax Controversy – EpicStream

After months of anticipation, the emotionally-charged trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was finally unveiled during Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con panel and it pretty much sets up the next chapter for the beloved MCU hero. The internet-breaking trailer seemingly confirmed that Shuri will in fact become T’Challa’s successor but instead of being excited about it, it looks like fans aren’t ready to accept Letitia Wright as the next Black Panther.

In case you weren’t aware, the actress faced accusations of being a COVID-19 “anti-vaxxer” in 2020 after she liked a video on Twitter that questions the effectiveness of vaccines. On top of that, Wright was reportedly espousing her questionable views on the set of Wakanda Forever.

The 28-year-old star would later dismiss all allegations thrown at her but that wasn’t enough to get the fans convinced. In fact, following the release of Black Panther 2‘s trailer, Wright’s critics flocked social media to express their dismay over her potentially upgraded role in the MCU.

Most of them believe that Disney should’ve fired her a long time ago and by the looks of things, they’re not willing to accept her as the franchise’s next Black Panther. Check out some of the reactions below:

Shockingly enough, it looks like Wright is still being haunted by her COVID-19 controversy and I doubt it will subside anytime soon. If this continues, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is definitely in for a huge PR nightmare and hopefully, Disney is ready for the backlash.
