Josh Allen slams Damar Hamlin ‘body double’ conspiracy theories

After the divisional game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals featured Damar Hamlin, who was shown several times on television cameras supporting his team from a box, the Internet began to have its way and unleashed conspiracy theorists, who claim that it was not Hamlin, but a look-alike.

Allen calls for the comments to stop

His teammate, Josh Allen, appeared on Kyle Brandt’s Basement podcast and when asked what he thought of those theories, he was forceful: “Yeah, that’s stupid. There’s absolutely no chance. That’s Damar Hamlin. That’s our guy. That’s our brother,” he said, visibly annoyed by those who doubt that it was the Bills safety who was at the stadium.

The theories spread like wildfire on social media because Hamlin was wearing a mask, a hoodie and dark glasses, which many believed was a lie and that the Bills, or Hamlin himself, were hiding something.

For Allen, it’s pure nonsense

Josh Allen, who was one of those most affected the day Hamlin had the cardiac arrest incident that could have cost him his life, said it’s all pure bullshit.

“First of all, that’s Damar’s swag, he likes to use that,” Allen said. “Two, he was in the locker room with us before the game. So yeah. That was Damar.”

However, while Allen denounced those conspiracy theories, later in the podcast he commented that there are several such theories that do catch his attention particularly the one that points out that the Apollo 11 moon landing was a hoax.

But from that to people thinking or saying that Hamlin, who was the big story in the NFL towards the end of the season, is hiding something, there’s a lot of difference.
