California Glider Pilot Caught Possible UFO Footage Mid-Flight

Social media can be a strange place. There’s a reason an oft-heard refrain on ye olde internet is “don’t read the comments” as they are often full of folks stirring up drama, spreading misinformation, or attacking the original poster because it is assumed they are puling a scam. Occasionally—especially in the world of the paranormal video—it’s all three at once.
I find it curious how often I come across videos of strange cloud formations or natural atmospheric effects and the comments sections are full of folks crowing about government conspiracies, rogue planets, and doomsdays. On the flip side are videos such as this one, where an innocent glider pilot sees something strange outside his window and posts it online, then is roundly attacked for not knowing the intricacies of TikTok UFO posting etiquette.

In this video, a glider pilot in Northern California films something saucer-shaped zipping past his plane. He post the video online, and people proceed to tear him a new one because he didn’t activate the function on the video that would allow them to pause the video and track through it frame by frame.
Or at least that’s what they say in their multitude of angry comments. It appears to be a harmless mistake, however, because at the time of press, the video was easily able tube paused and frame-tracked. At which point it was also easy to see what caused all this fuss in the first place. As many pointed out, it was simply a mylar helium balloon, like the kind sold in party stores and supermarkets. It even had writing printed on the side.
