EVIL DECEPTIONS: Stanford colluded with feds, Big Tech to create “The Great Covid-19 Lie Machine”

Prior to fake president Joe Biden’s launch of a federal “disinformation” censorship board, Stanford University launched an initiative called the “Virality Project” that served as a “dry run” for what has now become “The Great Covid-19 Lie Machine.”

That title comes from journalist Matt Taibbi’s latest “Twitter Files” release, which he called “The Great Covid-19 Lie Machine: Stanford, the Virality Project, and the Censorship of ‘True Stories.’” (Related: Stanford’s Virality Project called for Big Tech to censor true stories of vaccine injuries from social media, hence the name of Taibbi’s latest drop.)

Just one day before Biden announced plans to launch his so-called “Disinformation Governance Board,” the Stanford Internet Observatory called for the creation of its own disinformation – what a coincidence!

“Stanford, with the backing of a number of partners and some government agencies, had created a cross-platform single digital ticketing system that was processing censorship requests for all of them: Facebook, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Medium, Twitter,” was Taibbi’s recap of the March 17 Twitter Files drop, which he discussed with novelist Walter Kirn on his “America This Week” podcast.

The Stanford Virality Project, Taibbi went on to reveal, was “defining true things as disinformation or misinformation or malformation.” This signified “a new evolution of the disinformation process away from trying to figure out what’s true and what’s not and just going directly to political narrative.”

Stanford is an enemy of the American people

On March 9 along with author Michael Shellenberger, Taibbi testified at the U.S. House of Representatives’ Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, during which he further discussed his discoveries about the Virality Project.

Taibbi and his team unearthed a tranche of Virality Project emails just one hour before his testimony was scheduled to begin. These emails show that Stanford was monitoring “billions of social media posts” with the help of various federal agencies and “a slew of (often state-funded) NGOs (non-governmental organizations).”

“All were characterized as ‘potential violations’ or disinformation ‘events’ by the Virality Project, a sweeping, cross-platform effort,” Taibbi tweeted about Stanford’s monitoring of all those social media posts.

According to those behind the Virality Project, its purpose was merely “to detect, analyze, and respond to incidents of false and misleading narratives related to COVID-19 vaccines across online ecosystems.” But this is not what Taibbi and his team learned.

Formerly known as the Election Integrity Partnership, the Virality Project was created by Alex Stamos, director of the Stanford Internet Observatory and a “cybersecurity expert” who previously worked at Facebook as its chief security officer.

Stamos described the program as providing “actionable situational awareness and response capabilities for public health officials and other partners on the front lines of providing accurate vaccine-related information to the public.”

Behind all the rhetoric, though, was a much different apparatus of public-private collusion to disrupt online free speech and control the digital narrative surrounding the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19).

Stanford’s Virality Project first partnered with the government in February 2021 just days after the Pedophile-in-Chief assumed office. From there, the relationship blossomed to the point that the Virality Project proposed introducing a “rumor-control mechanism” and a “Misinformation and Disinformation Center of Excellence,” which was to be established at the federal level.

“After about a year, on April 26, 2022, the VP issued a report calling for a ‘rumor-control mechanism to address nationally trending narratives,’ and a ‘Misinformation and Disinformation Center of Excellence’ to be housed within CISA, at the Department of Homeland Security,” Taibbi tweeted about the discovery.

Then, one day later, Alejandro Mayorkas, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), announced the formation of Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board – and the rest is history.
