Anti-vaxxers guilty of plot to destroy 5G phone masts | TalkTV
Two anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists have been found guilty of planning to destroy 5G phone masts.
Christine Grayson of York, 59, and Darren Reynolds of Sheffield, 60, thought the masts were “enemy infrastructure” that would be used against people who had received the Covid vaccine.
The pair, who dubbed themselves ‘Bonnie and Clyde with a box of matches’ also discussed potential armed uprisings and attacks on MPs.
Grayson was found guilty of conspiracy to commit criminal damage and Reynolds was found guilty of six terrorist offences at Leeds Crown Court but not guilty of conspiracy to commit criminal damage.
A crossbow and bolts and replica assault refiles were found at Grayson and Reynolds homes respectively
As well a suggesting “getting rid” of masts with expanding foam and angle grinders, Grayson said she needed a “sabotage team” to “get rid of these 5G bloody near me” in a social media message.
A crossbow and bolts where found by police at Grayson’s home and two replica assault rifles were found at Reynold’s home.
He was also found in possession of a manual on how to build a rifle, a document titled How To Become An Assassin, and guilty of sharing a link to a neo-Nazi document.
Reynolds encouraged online comments calling for MPs to be killed and described the murdered MP Sir David Amess as a “traitor”. He also approved the view that Thomas Mair had “rightly executed the murdered MP Jo Cox because of her alleged treason”.
Reynolds and Grayson were remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 5 June.
