Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to surrender on Wednesday, for charges tied to allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 Presidential election results.

Giuliani claimed he will turn himself in to authorities in Georgia, for the current racketeering charges he faces for allegedly being involved in overturning the state’s 2020 presidential election.

Giuliani discussed his trip to the Peach State with reporters outside his home, defending former President Donald Trump for the allegations in the 2020 election.

“I’m fighting for justice from the first moment I represented Donald Trump, an innocent man, who has now been proven innocent several times. I don’t know how many times he has to be proven innocent and they have to be proven to be liars, actually enemies of our republic who are destroying rights, sacred rights,” Giuliani said.

Trump and the former New York City mayor each face 13 counts in the indictment, which is more than any of the other 17 defendants being charged in the case.

However, Giuliani throughout the case has maintained his innocence, and said he is only guilty of supporting the 45th President.

Once Giuliani arrives in the Peach State he will negotiate a bail amount with state District Attorney Fani Willis and then will be fingerprinted and have a mugshot taken.

The indictment of the former mayor alleged he played a key role in a criminal conspiracy, pressing officials in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia to overturn the election results.

Additionally, he was charged with promoting false claims that voting machines were rigged, and making false claims in sworn legal filings.

In the meantime, Giuliani remained confident he will be declared innocent.

“This will be proven to be like all the rest, a complete hoax and a lie,” he said.
