Greetings From the Fulton County Special Purpose Grand Jury –
Recently a Georgia court unsealed the report of a “Special Purpose Grand Jury” recommending that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis criminally charge President Donald Trump and 38 others for challenging the outcome of the 2020 election. The report alleges that those named violated more than a dozen state laws, including making false statements and writings, solicitation of election fraud, and Georgia’s anti-racketeering law.
This is separate and apart from Willis’ RICO indictment charging Trump and 18 others for conspiring to overturn the Georgia election. This report recommends that Willis indict 39 individuals, including Trump, Rudy Giuliani, Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), with respect to their participation in challenges to the 2020 election in Georgia as well as “with respect to the national effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election.”
Although it is nominally a report by the grand jury, it — like the RICO indictment — is actually the handiwork of Willis and her office.
So, what to make of this? Will Fani Willis follow the recommendation (that she wrote) and indict all 39 named persons?
In light of this radical prosecutor’s previous performance, nothing would surprise me.
But whether she follows through with the indictments and arrests, there is a subtext to the report. It goes something like this:
To those named in this report:
This is a warning. We let you off for now. But you had better keep your mouths shut. If you do decide to speak, you better not say anything we don’t like. We’ve got the power to destroy you.
So wise up, shut up, and pray we don’t come for you.
Oh, and if you or anyone else gets any crazy ideas about testifying at trial for Trump or his co-defendants, here’s some advice: Don’t do it!
If you do, you could wind up in handcuffs and with felony charges for perjury and obstruction of justice. You tried to obstruct an election, and you better not try to obstruct Fulton County justice by testifying for the defense.
You may think this is an idle threat, but it’s not. Just take a look at what we’ve done to Trump and his henchmen.
If you irritate us or do anything we don’t like, you will be taught the lesson learned by everyone who has ever been charged with a crime. You may beat the charge in court, but, in our criminal justice system, the process is the punishment.
Even if we can’t put you in prison, we will see to it that you are bankrupted by legal fees, picketed, hounded, doxxed into hiding, and ruined. Life as you know it will be over.
Welcome to our brave new world of progressive law enforcement.
You’ve been warned.
Now get out of our sight!
