Volkswagen secures small victory in ECJ ‘dieselgate’ ruling
German automaker Volkswagen should not pay a €5m fine for selling illegally polluting diesel cars in Italy if the Italian courts find it has already been prosecuted for the same crime in Germany, the EU’s top court has ruled.
