Dr. Fauci was “smuggled” into CIA HQ to “influence” an investigation into the origins of COVID-19
Rep. Wenstrup shared this information in a letter to Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General Christi Grimm. He said: “The information provided suggests that Dr. Fauci was escorted into the CIA headquarters – without a record of entry – and participated in the analysis to “influence” the agency’s review.”
He said that Fauci’s presence at the CIA and the newly uncovered evidence that he “prompted” the writing of a paper used to try to disprove the lab leak theory known as Proximal Origin “lends credence to heightened concerns about the promotion of a false COVID-19 origins narrative by multiple federal government agencies.”
The subcommittee is currently looking into whether the scientific investigation into the disease’s origins was impartial and carried out in the absence of “alternative influence.”
Rep. Wenstrup is seeking information about Dr. Fauci’s whereabouts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including communications between the National Institute of Allergy and Infection Diseases (NIAID), the U.S. Marshals Service protecting Fauci, and the HHS related to Fauci’s entry in any buildings owned, occupied or operated by the CIA.
The Committee noted: “As mounting evidence continues to imply that federal government officials covered-up the origins of COVID-19, investigating any improper influence will ensure future accountability of not only the intelligence community, but also public health officials.”
CIA whistleblower claimed analysts who believed COVID-19 started with a lab leak were paid off to change their opinion
This revelation comes not long after a senior CIA officer made an alarming claim to Congress that the agency offered to pay off analysts to change their opinion after determining that COVID-19 most likely leaked from a Chinese lab in Wuhan. They were reportedly asked to state that the virus had instead jumped from animals and humans. The payoffs involved six analysts who believed the virus originated in the lab, while the seventh and final analyst already believed the virus started through zoonosis.
According to the whistleblower, the six holdouts, who were described as “experienced officers with significant scientific expertise” were given a considerable financial inventive to change their position.
Fauci, who was the director of the NIAID during the pandemic, has been repeatedly questioned about whether the virus stemmed from a lab leak or came about by crossing the species barrier from animals to humans.
A report issued by the FBI and the Department of Energy in February concluded that the virus came from a lab leak, but Fauci was emphatic that was not the case.
At the time, he claimed: “You have to look at the data. I don’t see any data for a lab leak. That doesn’t mean it could not have happened, and that’s the reason I keep an open mind always about that.”
However, Fauci has plenty of reasons to want the world to believe it didn’t come from the lab, not the least of which is the fact that the NIAID gave the American firm EcoHealth Alliance a grant of $3.7 million in 2014, and $600,000 of it was given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to study coronaviruses in bats using controversial gain-of-function research.
He also conspired with Big Tech executives like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the early days of the pandemic to ensure that anyone supporting the lab leak theory would be silenced.
