The Indo Daily: Meet RFK Jr – the anti-vax conspiracy theorist bidding to become the second President Kennedy
Around 2010, a worm crawled into Robert F Kennedy’s brain, ate part of it and died. That’s according to the man who looks poised to become the third candidate in this year’s US presidential election.
Hailing from political royalty, RFK Jr is the black sheep of one of America’s most influential families. Son to Robert and nephew of President John F Kennedy, the environmental lawyer and vaccine sceptic has established himself as one of the only viable third candidates in this year’s US elections.
His own family have shunned him for his anti-vax and conspiracy theory beliefs – but the public appear to be getting behind him, and Biden and Trump are worried.
RFK Jr is polling between 5 and 20pc in some key states, and his supporters appear to be growing in numbers.
Today on The Indo Daily, Tabitha Monahan is joined by Larry Donnelly, political commentator and law lecturer at the University of Galway, to look at the unlikely rise of Robert F Kennedy – the man who may decide who will become the next president of America.
