Great Reset

COVID-19- The Great Reset, by Klaus Schwab and Thierry Malleret – WESTVIEW NEWS

By Thomas Connally

Did you know that COVID-19 is one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to humankind in all of history? Well, Klaus Schwab and Thierry Malleret, authors of COVID-19: The Great Reset, knew it almost as soon as the pandemic began—if not sooner—and seem unusually eager to share their enthusiasm with the world.

For those who might not know, Klaus Schwab is the founder and chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), an international NGO ostensibly dedicated to nothing less than “improving the state of the world”. Others describe the WEF less charitably, as a self-serving conclave of the world’s wealthiest, many with ties to organized crime and genocidal regimes, more interested in maintaining their privileged positions through draconian government domination than in solving the world’s problems. Ideas championed by the WEF and its members include:

And that’s just the beginning. Whether anyone wants any of this is apparently of little concern to the WEF.

COVID-19: The Great Reset, published in June of 2020, is a public-relations version of this agenda, that uses the alleged pandemic as a pretext for the urgent adoption of the WEF program. Schwab and Malleret allude to all these points while omitting the sordid details, and couch it all with comforting talk of “equity”, “fairness”, “inclusiveness”, and a healthy dose of quasi-scientific nonsense.

Numerous individuals and companies associated with the WEF predicted, and profited from, the supposed pandemic. The WEF’s Peter Schwartz11 and Stewart Brand12—two acid casualties and self-styled “futurists” formerly with the CIA’s Merry Pranksters/Grateful Dead project13—are founding members of the Global Business Network14, who authored a 2010 scenario for the Rockefeller Foundation15 in which nearly all the historically unprecedented events of the pandemic—the masks, the “lockdowns”, the push for control and electronic surveillance of citizens—were presaged a decade before they actually happened (see the section entitled “Lock Step”). Maybe it was all the acid that enabled the estimated Prophet Schwartz to foresee also “the horrifying possibility of terrorists flying planes into the World Trade Center”—a year before 9-11.

Bill Gates—who personally financed and produced a series of uncannily prescient pandemic rehearsals16 that precisely foretold every detail of the COVID-19 pandemic, down to the shortage of masks and exact death numbers, and who made hundreds of millions of dollars17 investing in COVID vaccine manufacturers prior to the pandemic—is also a WEF member.

The disconcerting indications that Schwab and Malleret might have been in on the plan begin with the book’s Introduction. The authors somehow knew, mere weeks after the announcement of a two-week “lockdown” to “flatten the curve”, that this was a “crucial moment in history”, and that “We are now at a crossroads. One path will take us to a better world: more inclusive, more equitable and more respectful of Mother Nature. The other will take us to a world that resembles the one we just left behind – but worse…”. While we all watched Tik-Tok videos of line-dancing nurses in the supposedly overrun hospitals, and scrambled to hoard toilet paper as the legacy network news death-counters (“brought to you by Pfizer!”) registered purported COVID deaths that were a small fraction of a typical flu season, Klaus and Thierry somehow knew that “…the societal upheaval unleashed by COVID-19 will last for years, and possibly generations.”

Schwab and Malleret seem barely able to conceal their glee over the possibilities the pandemic offers for pushing their vision of a centralized technocratic world order. Throughout the book, the authors gush over the “unique opportunity” COVID presents. They speak repeatedly of the alleged pandemic as a “window of opportunity”, a “catalyst”, and an “amplifier” of ideas promoted by Schwab and his minions. They write, “…the opportunity can be seized to make the kind of institutional changes and policy choices that will put economies on a new path…”. The pandemic is also “a turning point” that has “made a return to the pre-pandemic status quo impossible.” Really? You knew all this after three weeks?

Schwab and Malleret pay occasional lip-service to the “danger” of the nightmarish dystopia they’re intent on unleashing. But no worries—it’s all for your own good. They write: “Over the coming months and years, the trade-off between public-health benefits and loss of privacy will be carefully weighed… Most people, fearful of the danger posed by COVID-19, will ask: Isn’t it foolish not to leverage the power of technology to come to our rescue when we are victims of an outbreak and facing a life-or-death kind of situation? They will then be willing to give up a lot of privacy and will agree that in such circumstances public power can rightfully override individual rights.” They go on to quote WEF advisor Yuval Noah Harari18, the man who settled thousands of years of philosophical debate in one swoop by declaring humans have no soul or free will19: No more need to waste time reading Plato, the Bible, Leibniz, or Sartre—Yuval’s got that all figured out. Harari waxes optimistic about the potential for “biometric bracelets” that “know where you have been, and who you have met”, prompting Schwab and Malleret to chortle jovially in their weird, off-putting English, “We will have been warned!”.

The authors’ writing comes across as tone-deaf, self-congratulatory, and completely disconnected from the horrific reality that billions of people suffered as a direct result of the WEF’s pandemic project. In the section modestly entitled “Redefining Our Humanness”, Schwab and Malleret ponder whether the brutally inhumane “periods of confinement” they and their associates imposed on the entire planet’s population will make us all “…more willing to nurture our human bonds and more intentional about maintaining our social connections?” Hmm… that might be kind of difficult when grandma’s been “locked down” and slowly dying alone in a nursing home for over a year.

Never ones to shy away from the big issues, Klaus and Thierry next tackle the redefinition of time. In the section unassumingly dubbed “Time”, they ask if the pandemic might provide us with yet another wonderful gift, by compelling us “…to reconsider our relationship with time, to better recognize how precious it is and not let it slip by unnoticed”. They go on—in the first-person plural, to let you know they feel your pain too—“…we constantly feel pressed for time and have the nagging feeling that the pace of life is ever increasing. Might the experience of the lockdowns alter this?” Their presumptuousness is like a thief asking his victim, “Could having no money now help you better recognize how precious it is?”

Having redefined time and our humanness, Schwab and Malleret move on to “redefining the social contract”. Whether anyone asked for or wanted these redefinitions, or whether the authors are qualified to provide them, doesn’t matter: Klaus and Thierry heedlessly soldier on with their unsolicited recasting of life on earth as we know it for the entire human race. They write that it’s “…inevitable that the pandemic will prompt many societies around the world to reconsider and redefine the terms of their social contract.” And what might they mean by that? Perhaps unsurprisingly at this point, it has a lot to do with imposing a total surveillance dystopia by a psychotically oppressive one-world government on people who don’t want it: “There is currently growing concern that the fight against this pandemic and future ones will lead to the creation of permanent surveillance societies…”. They continue, “…a state emergency can only be justified when a threat is public, universal and existential…political theorists often emphasize that extraordinary powers require authorization from the people and must be limited in time and proportion. One can agree with the former part of the assertion (public, universal and existential threat), but what about the latter?” In other words, should sadistic “lockdowns” and forced inoculation of the entire planet’s population with a poisonous, ineffective, and experimental “vaccine” that Klaus and his buddies are making billions from require authorization from the people? Should these measures be limited in time and proportion, or should they be expanded and go on forever? Klaus and Thierry aren’t sure.

The book is annoyingly riddled with vague generalizations and grandiose statements lacking any empirical evidence or critical analysis to support them. The authors write “…most scientists would agree that…the more intensive farming becomes…the higher the risk of new epidemics.” Characteristically, Schwab and Malleret provide no citation from “most scientists” to back up this dubious claim. Inexplicable appeals to fashionable faux-science abound: Schwab and Malleret repeatedly tie their lust for global domination to “quantum theory” and “complexity”. Klaus and Thierry inform us that “…it could be inferred from quantum physic [sic] that objective reality does not exist.” That’s nice to know. They go on: “We think that observation and measurement define an ‘objective’ opinion, but the micro-world of atoms and particles (like the macro-world of geopolitics) is governed by the strange rules of quantum mechanics in which two different observers are entitled to their own opinions (this is called a ‘superposition’: ‘particles can be in several places or states at once’)”. So geopolitics is governed by strange quantum mechanics: Got it. Thanks for that insight Klaus!

After slogging through this hastily-compiled jumble of facile, specious, contradictory, paternalistic, and/or self-evident contentions, laced with bad grammar, typos, and irrelevant allusions to trendy pseudo-science, it’s hard to escape the conclusion that this book, and the alleged pandemic that precipitated it, are both mainly platforms for promoting Schwab and Malleret’s schemes, and the interests of the venal careerist ghouls that inhabit the World Economic Forum. Schwab’s attempt to capitalize on a global crisis for personal and ideological gain, and to frame the immense suffering it caused as a means to an end for his own objectives, is deeply offensive and morally repugnant, like practically everything else these people promote.

In one sense, I agree with Schwab: COVID-19 was a “great opportunity”—for elevating Schwab in the popular consciousness from a relatively unknown globalist functionary, to a ridiculous caricature20, and a criminal perpetrator, along with the rest of his little prison gang at Davos, of one of the most abhorrent and outrageous crimes against humanity in all of history.
