‘He’s back!’: Trump returns to X with campaign ad promising to ‘obliterate’ deep state

Former US President Donald Trump announced his return to X on Monday with a series of posts, including a new campaign ad vowing to “obliterate” the deep state.

Trump returned to X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time in a year ahead of an interview today with owner Elon Musk.

America’s 45th president also posted a series of campaign ads on the social media platform on Monday.

Supporters of the Republican presidential candidate eagerly welcomed his return to the platform after his account had been inactive since last August.

“He’s back!!!!!,” wrote one user on X.

“Trump’s first post on X in a long time is a campaign video that will give you chills: “I will obliterate the Deep State”,” wrote another.
