Candace Owens faces backlash from conservatives for spewing outlandish conspiracy theories about Jews

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Political commentator Candace Owens broke the internet with her antisemitic remarks, putting forth a conspiracy theory about Jews on X (formerly Twitter), reported Mediaite.

In a live broadcast on Sunday, August 18, titled ‘The Truth About Zionism’, Owens falsely suggested that Jews were behind President John F Kennedy’s assassination and promoted additional conspiracy theories, claiming that criticizing Israel might lead to fatal consequences.

Owens, who was dismissed from the conservative media platform The Daily Wire earlier this year, recently floated a false claim in her interview with influencer Tristan Tate that Joseph Stalin was a Jew.

“Do you think it’s normal that basically, every person that speaks about Israel has to say a statement that ‘you know I don’t want to get killed’?” Candace Owens asked in the video.

“They shot JFK in an open car, he was a sitting president, so my security doesn’t matter, if they want me they’re gonna get me,” she continued her baseless assertion.

Owens then asserted that such beliefs are not “normal” and are specifically linked to Israel, which she alleged has “taken over” the United States.

Fox News contributor Sarah Carter ripped into Owens in a lengthy statement on X, criticizing her for “spreading the most vile & vicious Jew-hating conspiracy theories” that dated back to the “depths of ignorance from the Middle Ages!”

Condemning the former employee of The Daily Wire for her “disgraceful fall to espousing pure antisemitism,” Carter added that there was no room for an “antisemite” like Owens in the conservative movement. She also called conservative individuals and organizations linked to the political commentator to cut her off.

Pro-Trump influencer Gad Saad, who had once interviewed Owens on his show, voiced his astonishment at her conspiracy theories remarking on X, “What happened to this woman? A few years ago, when I hosted her, she appeared rational and collected.”

Owens earlier also made antisemitic remarks after the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023 following her endorsement of a tweet suggesting Jews drink Christians’ blood.
