I’m Speaking at the JFK Lancer Conference in Dallas
I’ll be speaking at the JFK Lancer Conference in Dallas, which is being held on November 22-24 at the Dallas Marriott Downtown. Founded in 1995 by Thomas A. Jones and Debra Conway, the conference is the “longest running conference in the research community concerning the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.” The program will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday.
The title of my talk is “The JFK Assassination and Other Cold War Regime-Change Operations.” It will show how the U.S. national-security establishment’s regime-change operations in Iran, Guatemala, Cuba, and Chile, both before and after the JFK assassination, help us to understand the reasoning behind its regime-change operation in Dallas on November 22, 1963.
The conference website does not yet have its speaker line-up posted but I know that my friend Mike Swanson will also be speaking there. Mike is the author of The War State: The Cold War Origins Of The Military-Industrial Complex And The Power Elite, 1945-1963, one of the best books you’ll ever read, and also another fantastic book entitled Why The Vietnam War?: Nuclear Bombs and Nation Building in Southeast Asia, 1945-1961.
If you plan on attending, please look me up. I’l have some autographed copies of my books for sale. There are still a few discounted rooms available at the Marriott. You can purchase tickets to the conference here. I hope to see you there!
REMINDER: Our Online Zoom Immigration Conference Starts Soon
Don’t forget to register for our Zoom conference entitled “The Case for Open Borders,” which will consist of a series of weekly talks by some of the most eloquent and competent proponents of open borders in the country.
The conference kicks off with a presentation by Richard Ebeling on Monday, September 30, at 7 p.m. Richard is the BB&T Professor of Ethics and Free Enterprise Leadership at The Citadel, former president of The Foundation for Economic Education, former Ludwig von Mises Professor of Economics at the Citadel, former vice president of academic affairs at FFF, co-host of FFF’s weekly show “The Libertarian Angle,” and the co-editor of our 1995 book The Case for Free Trade and Open Immigration.
The presidential debate this week demonstrates that both Republicans and Democrats are doubling down on their ardent support of their failed, deadly, and destructive system of immigration controls. In fact, they are competing against each other as to which of them will make the militarized immigration police state fiercer and harsher — always with the perpetual hope that they will finally — finally! —make their statist system work. They will fail, just as statists have failed to make this system work for some 80 years. Regardless of who is elected president and regardless of whose immigration-reform plan is adopted, their immigration-control system will continue to produce death, suffering, perpetual crisis, and an ever-expanding militarized police state that is the opposite of freedom and limited government.
As I have been saying for 34 years, there is only one — repeat: only one — solution to America’s ongoing, never-ending, perpetual immigration crisis. That solution is economic liberty, free markets, free enterprise, freedom of association, liberty of contract, and the free movements of goods, services, and people across borders. There is no other solution!
Another one of our speakers is John Washington, whose excellent new book The Case for Open Borders was featured just a couple of days ago in this article in The Nation.
I hope you’ll join us each week for excellent presentations on what is the only solution to one of the burning issues of our time. The presentations will be one hour and there will be time for questions. Register here to receive your Zoom link. Here is my article about the conference.
UPDATE ON THE TAMPA TRIAL
I have recently written three blog posts on the unjust prosecution of black activists in Tampa as part of the federal government’s anti-Russia crusade:
A Federal Prosecution in Florida Is Keeping Us Safe from the Russkies
First They Came for the Communists
Tampa Trial on Free Speech Exposes U.S. Hypocrisy
The feds are targeting members of a group called the African People’s Socialist Party and its related Uhuru Solidarity Movement for having failed to register as Russian agents. In fact, it’s just a way to target a black organization that has long opposed U.S. foreign policy, including the use of Ukraine as an unregistered agent of the U.S. government to wage war on Russia.
The case has now been turned over to the jury, which has been deliberating for two days. Once the jury returns with a verdict, I will keep you updated in my blog.
