Candace Owens has been a thorn in the MAGA movement for a while, and the latest prominent MAGA figure to be ruffled by her anti-Jewish sentiments is RFK Jr.
He wrote on X: “During her interview with Piers Morgan, Candace Owens referred to what she termed ‘radical Judaism’ and characterised the iconic Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Schneerson, as someone who ‘preached Jewish supremacism and hatred of all non-Jews.'”
He added: “These words are a sickening and manifestly inaccurate description of a revered holy man who was respected and beloved by people of all faiths. Rabbi Schneerson preached a message of unadulterated love, tolerance, respect, and universal justice for all of humanity. My father considered him a spiritual mentor and sought his advice on diverse issues of morality and ethics. He once visited the Rebbe at 2 o’clock in the morning! As Americans, we need to distance ourselves from the troubling rise in antisemitism. We need unity in our country, not divisiveness. That’s what Rabbi Schneerson stood for.”
Reacting to this, Owens said: “Let me be perfectly clear. I do not, in any way, accept that ‘it is obvious that since every Jew (men and even women and children) brings about the existence of the entire creation, they become masters over the entire world, and thus every single creation owes them recognition… therefore, the Jew is in control, particularly over physical matters.’ In fact, I fully reject this ideology, both spiritually and doctrinally. If you think you can demand my obedience to this by trying to smear my rejection of this supremacy as some form of antisemitism, you may try. But know that I will continue to reject it fully. Should you wish to debate me on this topic, I am certain that Piers Morgan will gladly host it.”
She added: ” I will forever be grateful for the work you did on vaccines, and I believe it saved many children’s lives. Out of respect, I caution you to come exceptionally prepared if you choose to accept this debate, because I will be prepared to defend my faith.”

What has Candace Owens said about Jews?

Owens is known for promoting extreme conspiracy theories, some even surpassing those of Donald Trump and his MAGA supporters. Many of Owens’s theories have antisemitic undertones and include secular beliefs like flat Earth theories and denying that an asteroid caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. Notable among her antisemitic claims are suggestions that Israel was involved in the 9/11 attacks, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) was founded to protect a Jewish pedophile, and bizarrely, that Joseph Stalin and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk were secretly Jewish. She also claims that Hollywood Jews orchestrated Michael Jackson’s death and connects influential Jews to Frankism, an 18th-century sect associated with satanic practices.
Owens’s theories extend to Holocaust denial and minimization, where she has downplayed the atrocities and questioned the validity of well-documented events. She has also entertained the discredited Khazar theory, falsely claiming that Ashkenazi Jews are not true descendants of the ancient Israelites but are descended from the Khazars, a claim often used to undermine Jewish historical ties to Israel. Owens has echoed traditional antisemitic tropes by suggesting that Jews control the media and global economy, defending Kanye West’s similar sentiments, and asserting that Jewish people use their influence to silence critics. Her baseless claims also include the idea that Stalin was secretly Jewish and that Jews orchestrated major world events like the Russian and French revolutions to “bring down Christian empires.”
Owens’s relationship with Donald Trump has been a key factor in her rise in conservative media and politics. She gained attention during the 2016 presidential campaign by aligning herself with Trump, whose criticism of mainstream media resonated with her views. As a Black woman supporting Trump in a movement often accused of racism, Owens became a controversial figure, helping her build a substantial following. Her support for Trump was marked by her defense of his policies and rhetoric, especially on race, media bias, and nationalism.
However, their relationship has seen fluctuations. In December 2021, Owens interviewed Trump, where their differing views on the COVID-19 vaccine led to tensions. Despite this, Owens’s overall support for Trump remained intact, and by early 2024, she seemed to have reconciled, expressing mistrust towards his political rival, Ron DeSantis. Owens’s relationship with Trump has been central to her identity in conservative media, characterized by strong support with moments of disagreement.
