Internet reacts as Republicans push conspiracy theories about Democrats controlling the weather

The internet is buzzing after Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene made a wild claim that Democrats are capable of controlling the weather, particularly in the wake of Hurricane Milton’s destruction in Florida.

Greene posted on social media, “Yes, they can control the weather,” implying that the government is behind the recent string of severe storms.

Her statement quickly went viral, drawing mockery from all corners of the internet. In response to her claim, one user sarcastically remarked, “Personally, I believe the democrat weather machine is powered by 5g vaccine nanobots that get their energy from drag queen story time.”

Another user tied it to a pop culture reference, tweeting, “The democrats with their weather machine,” alongside a meme from the Disney Channel Original Movie The Ultimate Christmas Present’.

Even President Joe Biden weighed in on the absurdity, stating, “Marjorie Taylor Greene, the congresswoman from Georgia, is now saying the federal government is literally controlling the weather… It’s beyond ridiculous. It’s so stupid. It’s got to stop.”

Other users were quick to jump on the joke train, with one user commenting, “Me and the other bisexuals working on the government weather machine,” accompanied by a gif from Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ music video.

Another user poked fun at Greene’s logic, writing, “If the Democrats are controlling the weather, does that make Gawd a Democrat?”

Many internet users took the opportunity to point out flaws in the theory, like Jared Moskowitz, who quipped, “Why did this ‘weather machine’ she believes in cause damage during Trump’s presidency? Why didn’t he turn it off?”

The sarcastic humor continued to dominate social media.

One tweet read, “Yes, the left has a weather machine, but it’s never been fired because we can’t decide on a woke enough hurricane name.” Another user said, “You think it’s funny? The Dems built a weather machine for the sole purpose of launching hurricanes at Catturd’s house multiple times a year, and you think it’s funny?”

Despite experts and meteorologists debunking the claim, it hasn’t stopped people from turning the absurd theory into a meme.

One tweet hilariously summed up the situation, “Absolutely incredible that after decades of scientists warning of climate change and terrible hurricanes… People are now blaming… weather machines.”
