“So the election ISN’T rigged????” – Andy Cohen reacts to Donald Trump alleging election fraud hours before winning presidency

Andy Cohen took a jab at Donald Trump after the billionaire won the 2024 presidential election. Shortly after the Associated Press declared Trump the 47th president of the United States, The Watch What Happens Live host, in a post on X, said:

“So the election ISN’T rigged????”

The post was in reference to Donald Trump repeating false claims about election fraud in Philadelphia hours before he was declared the winner in the state of Pennsylvania. Trump secured 19 electoral votes from the state, propelling him to the U.S. presidency.

Andy Cohen, who posted a reminder of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to his Instagram story, seemingly urging folks to vote for Harris on November 5, mocked Trump on X, since Trump has a history of claiming election fraud when the results do not favor him. Trump made similar claims after Joe Biden won the presidency, triggering a riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Andy Cohen seemingly blasts Donald Trump’s election fraud claims

What did Donald Trump say?

On November 5, 2024, before Pennsylvania was declared in favor of Trump, he used his social media platform Truth Social to allege election fraud in Philadelphia. He said:

“A lot of talk about massive cheating in Philadelphia. Law enforcement coming.”

The post about election rigging was viewed over 300,000 times and even spread to Elon Musk-owned X, which has been propagating misinformation about Democrats bent on stealing the election. The false election fraud claim prompted Philadelphia officials to deny the allegation. According to NBC, City Commissioner Omar Sabir said:

“There is no cheating. There’s no smoke to it. People say things, but that doesn’t make them true. We learned this in 2020.”

Donald Trump has a troubling history of undermining the election process by crying fraud without evidence. In 2020, Trump’s refusal to accept the 2020 election results, claiming a rigged process, culminated in the Capitol attack.

Andy Cohen’s tweet mocking Trump after he won the election suggested the president had no issues with the result as it favored him. In response to Cohen’s tweet, a user said:

“Despite all the efforts on the left, the rigging was defeated”

In response, Cohen added:

“OHHHHH!! So if he lost, it would’ve been rigged?”

Earlier in the day, Andy Cohen shared a selfie on Instagram with his daughter Lucy, 2, with the caption “I voted for Her, for her” indicating that he voted for Kamala Harris.

Meanwhile, Trump won the 2024 election with 277 electoral votes. Trump also leads Harris in popular votes.
