Elon Musk Posts QAnon Meme to Defend Matt Gaetz
On Sunday, Elon Musk, who some are calling the shadow president, shared a QAnon-themed meme on his social media platform, the once beloved Twitter. The meme, which is defending Trump nominees Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard, features a Pepe the Frog image as a broadcaster for “QNN,” with a mug displaying the QAnon slogan “WWG1WGA” (“Where We Go One, We Go All”).
This post, interpreted as a nod to QAnon, garnered over 24 million views and was met with both support from conspiracy theory followers and criticism from those who see Musk, who was named as an advisor of sorts to Trump, pushing the fringe group, which believes an evil cabal is harvesting the blood of trafficked children in order to stay young, into the mainstream.

Musk’s engagement with extremist content could embolden QAnon adherents. The posts add to ongoing controversies around Musk’s use of his social media platform, which has been increasingly accused of fostering misinformation under his ownership.
In another post, Musk replied to philanthropist Alex Soros’ warning about RFK Jr installation as HHS secretary if the country experiences another pandemic. In that post, Musk called COVID-19 pandemic, calling it a “scamdemic,” which alludes to additional conspiracy theories such as the belief that the pandemic was intentionally released into the world for a sinister agenda.
One must point out that Trump was in charge when the pandemic hit. He also pushed Operation Warp Speed. However, many MAGA Republicans want to conveniently overlook these details.
