We already know who will win Super Bowl LIX! At least that’s what a popular Instagrammer known as TheNFLMike claims. Mike says he has cracked the secret code that the NFL uses in its Super Bowl logos, which announces the champion before the playoffs even begin.
Conspiracy theories are as old as humanity. However, social media has given them a breeding ground and an amplifier like never before. From the JFK assassination to One Direction, almost anything can host a conspiracy theory.
From match-rigging to Taylor Swift, the NFL couldn’t stay away from this distinctive human trait, and TheNFLMike just poured gasoline on the fire with his latest “revelation.”
The NFL’s color code
In a recent Instagram video, the content creator claimed, “I found proof that every Super Bowl in history has been predetermined.” He then revealed, “Even this year’s champion is spoiled” and displayed the logos of the Chiefs, 49ers, Bills, Eagles, Packers, and Jets.
“Remember last year we noticed something strange was going on with Super Bowl logo colors in recent years?” Mike asked and then explained, “Sure enough, the prophecy came true with this reddish-purple logo,” referring to the colors of Kansas City and San Francisco.
He explained that he checked the logos of every Super Bowl and found that “at least one of the teams playing in 54 of those Super Bowls had at least one team with a color featured in that team’s logo.” According to the Instagrammer, one of the few times his theory fails is in Super Bowl XVIII, which was won by the Raiders.
So, who will win Super Bowl LIX?
This year’s logo is red and green-the colors of Mardi Gras, which is celebrated in New Orleans, the host city of the next Super Bowl. However, according to Mike, this is a sign that the NFL has already decided which team will hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2025.
The color scheme ‘narrows’ the search down to almost half the league. However, if we add to that the performance of the teams, the red color clearly points to the Chiefs, while the green color narrows the search down to the Seahawks, Packers, or Eagles.
