Verdict: False

The video does not show an actual UFO that crashed into a farmer’s field. The video has been generated by artificial intelligence.

Fact Check:

Social media users are sharing a video, claiming it shows a UFO that crashed into a farmer’s field. One user wrote, “Ufo crashes in farmer’s filed 🛸⛺️🛸.”

This claim is false. Through a reverse image and keyword search, Check Your Fact found that the video is from a creator called @sybervisions, which describes itself as a “VFX artist. Filmmaker. Surreal world scenes.”

Among the tags used by the account is #midjourneyai. Android Authority reports that MidJourney “is an example of generative AI that can convert natural language prompts into images. It’s only one of many machine learning-based image generators that have emerged of late but it has quickly risen to become one of the biggest names in AI alongside DALL-E and Stable Diffusion.”

Factly also debunked this claim. The outlet reported that the video had inconsistencies which showed it was likely created by artificial intelligence. (RELATED: Facebook Image Does Not Show Authentic Headline From Christian Website About Hunter Biden Pardon)

Factly reported that it “found a few inconsistencies in the faces and hands of the people featured in the video. Such inconsistencies are generally found in AI-generated content. Also, the UFO seen in the viral clip changes in every shot and is not consistent throughout the video.”
