What was the ‘Glowing red’ UFO spotted in the skies above Disney World?
Is it a bird? A plane?… Stitch?
Disney World parkgoers were baffled as a “’glowing red’ UFO” was recently spotted in the skies above EPCOT — sparking discussion on whether the phenomenon was an alien space craft.
A TikTok video shows a fiery something crossing the night sky above the park, the TikToker writing, “Skies above EPCOT are alive tonight.”
Alas, the furry blue alien from Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” didn’t touchdown to wreak havoc or pose as a funny-looking dog; in fact, the fiery blaze was most likely not an alien at all.
The same night that parkgoers spotted the curious sight in Orlando, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket was lifting off from Cape Canaveral, Daily Mail reported.
“The Falcon 9 rocket launched as part of mission RRT-1, an effort that included the transport of an advanced GPS satellite into orbit for the US military branch,” the outlet wrote.
Nevertheless, the rumors continued to swirl on the internet, with one social media poster claiming it was Santa Clause. Others deemed the video a fake, and a cluster still holds steadfast that it was alien activity, the Daily Mail said.
The Falcon 9 rocket has a “reusable first stage booster” that ultimately fell back to the planet just eight and a half minutes after it left the ground. It was caught in the Atlantic Ocean on a drone ship.
Stitch, on the other hand, will return to theaters worldwide May 23, 2025, in a live-action version of the 2002 animated film of the same name. The lovable blue alien has been infiltrating other Disney movie advertisements in recent months, including the newly released film, “Mufasa.”
