UFC Fighter Bryce Mitchell Voices Controversial Theory on Horrific Sandy Hook School Shooting

UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell is well known for his often absurd and downright comical conspiracy theories, but ‘Thug Nasty’ may have delivered his most vile one yet during a recent conversation with former Strikeforce champion Jake Shields

During a recent appearance on Shields’ Fight Back Podcast, the pair’s conversation eventually turned to the pandemic of shootings that have plagued U.S. schools over the last two decades.

While Shields took a more measured approach, noting that many of the perpetrators are young individuals with mental health issues, Mitchell suggested that there’s a “little bit” of government involvement and that massacres like the horrific one that took place in Newton, Connecticut on December 14, 2014.

“Yes, absolutely. It’s definitely demonic,” Mitchell said. I think there’s a little bit of government involvement,” Mitchell said. “I mean, government hiring some of these shooters. [CIA project] MKUltra type sh*t and actually paying them off but using MKUltra tactics to convince them that this is the right thing and they’re a hero. Then there’s instances like Sandy Hook where it’s completely made up. And the sh*t never happened.”

Shields was quick to cut off Mitchell, letting him know that they’d have to cut out his comments if they hoped to keep the video monetized on YouTube. Of course, that didn’t stop Mitchell from doubling down on his comments.

“Yeah, you can’t question Sandy Hook Shootings because it didn’t happen,” Mitchell added. “Bro, what they said happened didn’t happen. So some of these aren’t actually happening, like they say they are. But a lot of them, they’re grooming these shooters, bro. Through all types of tactics, bro. Drugs being one of them.”

In reality, Sandy Hook did happen and it still stands as the deadliest mass shooting at an elementary school in U.S. history. 26 people lost their lives that day, including 20 children and six adults.

Bryce Mitchell Isn’t the First Person to Claim Sandy Hook Never Happened

Sadly, Bryce Mitchell isn’t the first person to claim the Sandy Hook shooting didn’t happen. Alex Jones, conspiracy theorist and former host of Info Wars, repeatedly claimed that the massacre never took place. His comments prompted families and friends of the victims to sue Jones. In 2023, Jones was ordered to pay the families a whopping $1.5 billion.

However, the families opted to show mercy on Jones, offering to settle for $85 million paid out over 10 years.

Instead of accepting the deal and taking responsibility for his words, Jones plans to appeal the decision, claiming that he didn’t receive fair trials and that his statements are protected by the First Amendment.
