Larry Ellison has created a media storm about his proposal for AI-generated mRNA cancer vaccines
President Donald Trump has announced a major AI investment programme involving Softbank, OpenAI and Oracle, with the initial investment being $100 billion and plans to expand to $500 billion over the next four years.
The project, called Stargate, aims to build data centres in the US for powering AI, with the CEOs of the three tech firms defending the venture as an investment that “impacts all of humanity.”
Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, announced that the one of Stargate will enable the diagnosis of cancer and production of personalised AI-generated cancer vaccines within 48 hours.

The CEOs of all three tech firms – OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Oracle’s Larry Ellison, and Softbank’s Masayoshi Son – joined Trump from the Roosevelt Room at the White House for the announcement of the Stargate project.
Altman commented on the Stargate project, saying it will be great for Americans and the whole world, and that the scale of the investment is huge, indicating correspondingly huge progress in AI technology.
Son touted Trump’s vow to usher in a golden age in America, saying that the big investment is for the good of humanity, and that the project will create A.I. and A.G.I. in the United States.
Ellison emphasised that the Stargate investment could bring a “revolution” in healthcare and other industries, and described the investment as “very large” and affecting all of humanity. Ellison’s remarks have raised huge concerns among the public.
Ellison said that AI will design personalised mRNA “vaccines” against cancer – making them robotically in 48 hours.
“One of the most exciting things we’re working on … is a cancer vaccine,” he said.
“You can do early cancer detection with a blood test. Using AI to look at the blood test, you can find the cancers that are actually seriously threatening the person … then beyond that, once we gene sequence that cancer tumour, you can then vaccinate the person. Design a vaccine for every individual person to vaccinate them against that cancer. And you can make that vaccine, that mRNA vaccine, you can make that robotically again using AI in about 48 hours.”

In response to Ellison’s remarks, Toby Rogers tweeted:
You get a blood test at your annual physical. The doctor says, “We see evidence of cancer floating in your blood.” You’re ordered to get Larry Ellison’s patented AI gene therapy that costs $500,000 per dose. You get four treatments and the last dose kills you. The doctor shrugs and says, “We did everything we could.”
All wealth is now drained from your family. You never had cancer in the first place. Larry has liability protection because he called his injections a “vaccine.” This is quite possibly the biggest grift in history. “The Stargate Project” is Operation Warp Speed 2.0 on steroids.
Speaking with Megyn Kelly yesterday, Nicole Shanahan warned of an “extinction” level event if AI-developed mRNA vaccines are rushed into use.
Shanahan is an American attorney and entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley. She was married to Sergey Brin, a co-founder of Google. In 2024, Shanahan became the running mate of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., supporting his campaign on issues such as environmental health and vaccine safety.
Responding to Ellison’s recent remarks, Shanahan said: “What we need for the mRNA platform right now is a moratorium. It’s not ready for human use … It delivers an inconsistent result in individuals.”
“In order for our population to grow, to be strong, to be fully able-bodied, and for our human economy to thrive, we do need a moratorium on the mRNA for the time being,” she said.
Adding, “I understand how many people are so impressed by this especially computer engineers. They think that you can program the human body as you program an AI system, as you program a computer system. And the trouble with that mentality is … AI is a computer system. Human health is not.
“If [AI-developed vaccines are] deployed too quickly [it] could lead to an extinction event.”
Also coming out strongly against Ellison’s remarks is the inventor of mRNA technology, Dr. Robert Malone. Yesterday he published an article on Substack titled ‘AI, mRNA, Cancer Vaccines and ‘Stargate’’.
After publishing his article he joined Alex Jones for a live broadcast on X (formerly Twitter) during which he issued a dire warning to President Trump concerning proposals made by the Stargate project.
“The logic of what Mr. Ellison is promoting here is grossly naïve. It’s a concept that is well over 30 years old and it’s been repeatedly discredited,” Dr. Malone said. “Frankly, when I listened to this my response was, ‘This is so naïve it wouldn’t make it passed the first five minutes of diligence at any of the venture capital firms that I’ve ever presented to’.”
“We can’t be naive about this – the pharmaceutical industry is predatory,” he said.
