Kash Patel Affirmed Banning Voting Machines, Claimed Multiple Elections Were Rigged

Kash Patel, a former Trump administration official and current nominee for FBI Director, has consistently asserted that multiple U.S. elections have been “rigged.” During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast in 2023, Patel stated that multiple election cycles have been rigged by “the deep state” and the media.

Patel said MAGA Republicans needed to get involved with ballot harvesting in order to win in 2024 so they could change the voting laws later on. Part of those voting changes, according to Patel, included banning voting machines:

“We need to go and win. That’s what Donald Trump taught me. …Then you can change the rules. So, what does that mean? Yeah, we got to go attack the voter integrity systems. We got to get our statewide elected officials to repeal some of the machines and everything that they’re using that you hear Steve and everybody talk about.”

In this clip above, Patel is aligning himself with the debunked voting machine conspiracies pushed on Steve Bannon’s show by the likes of Mike Lindell and others. Fox News, Newsmax, and Mike Lindell have been sued for billions of dollars by voting machine companies for pushing false claims against their products.

Patel’s affirmation of debunked voting machine fraud conspiracies, despite numerous studies and audits affirming their reliability, makes him unfit to serve as FBI director.
