Wiz Khalifa Dodges Flat Earth Question on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ | Video
*Wiz Khalifa was pressed about being a flat-Earther during a June 13 appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
The rapper previously sparked online chatter with his remarks on The Joe Budden Podcast, when he suggested he believed the Earth is flat. As Complex reports, Kimmel brought up the podcast conversation and pushed further, hoping for clarification. “Because I heard it and I was like, ‘I don’t know. I know Wiz. He seems pretty bright. There’s no way he thinks the Earth is flat,’” the host said.
“Yeah, I mean, you know, whatever makes you guys happy, bro,” he said, laughing off the subject.
When Kimmel asked if his conspiracy theory was a joke, Wiz replied, “I mean, whatever, dog.”
Kimmel then asked whether Wiz also doubted space exploration. Seemingly surprised, Wiz asked, “I said that? When did I say that?”
The host joked that it might have been “joint number eighteen of the day” and reminded the hip-hop star that he’d expressed skepticism about the extent of space travel. Wiz’s response: “I say a lot of stuff.”
Later, the conversation turned to Wiz’s cover art for Kush + Orange Juice 2, which shows a globe surrounded by marijuana leaves. Kimmel quipped, “The Earth looks pretty round here to me,” to which Wiz responded, “I didn’t make a flat one on there. It’s round. That’s for you. I didn’t want to scare you.”
During his original podcast appearance, Wiz hinted that his flat-earth theory stemmed from his extensive travels. But on Kimmel’s stage, he maintained a light-hearted, evasive tone throughout the interview. Watch the clip below.
