JFK Assassination

Did Marjorie Taylor Greene imply JFK assassination was over Israel? X post goes viral

Another day, another controversial post by Marjorie Taylor Greene that goes viral.

The Georgia representative responded to an X post by Fox News broadcaster Mark Levin in which he called her stupid for criticizing President Donald Trump’s strikes on Iran. In her response posted on Tuesday, Greene said Levin should be fired, echoed her stance against wars waged by Israel, and one more notable thing:

“There was once a great President that the American people loved. He opposed Israel’s nuclear program. And then he was assassinated.”

While she didn’t name names, it’s widely assumed that she was referring to President John F. Kennedy. According to the National Security Archive, Kennedy worried that Israel’s nuclear program was a potentially serious proliferation risk and insisted that Israel permit periodic inspections to mitigate the danger.

Was Israel involved in JFK’s assassination?

JFK was shot and killed in Dallas in 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. According to the FBI, after conducting about 25,000 interviews and running down tens of thousands of investigative leads, they found Oswald acted alone. The Warren Commission, which spent nearly a year carefully studying the assassination, agreed.

Reactions to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s post

Greene’s post has generated a variety of reactions through the shares and comments sections. As of Thursday, it has been seen by more than 2.5 million people. Many have taken sides, while some were upset over the infighting:

  • “Can you two….please dial it down? MAGA does not need in fighting.”
  • “Sorry MTG. I like you, but you’re wrong on this. You should be supporting Trump who made a very difficult decision and ultimately trying to being peace to the region.”
  • “Get to work and stop yelling at other conservatives. He’s a tv host. You’re a member of Congress. Get to work.”

Others leaned heavily on the claim that JFK assassination’s and Israel were connected:

  • “Yes Jesus was put to death on a Roman cross but the conspiracy to kill him was 100% Jewish. Good for MTG bringing up the murder of JFK & Israel.”
  • “Could explain why the JFK files have never been released. What would happen to American’s support of Israel if they were implicated in the files?”
  • “Keep going MTG! This world today would’ve been so much different if JFK was not assassinated. It would’ve been a beautiful place. The stories we’ve been told are all lies. There’s never been real justice for JFK and RFK.”
