The recent disclosure of documents pertaining to the John F. Kennedy assassination involve some information about how it was revealed that a CIA officer specializing in psychological warfare interacted with Lee Harvey Oswald before the assassination.

Oswald, while living temporarily in New Orleans in summer 1963, had a public confrontation with the Cuban Student Directorate (Directorate Revolucionario Estudantil) prior to the assassination. The DRE was an anti-Castro organization, and Oswald was vehemently pro-Castro and pro-communism, as Oswald was a self-proclaimed Marxist.
