White House defends Donald Trump’s alien-based ‘medbed’ conspiracy theory post

The White House is defending Donald Trump for sharing an AI-generated video of himself promoting an alien-based ‘medbed’ conspiracy theory.

On Saturday evening, Trump reposted a video of a fake Fox News segment hosted by his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, with him promoting ‘medbed hospitals’ and offering access to all Americans.

The video, naturally posted to his Truth Social account, was then deleted by Trump hours later.

It featured AI footage of facilities with ‘medbeds’, which do not exist.

The conspiracy comes from a period shortly after World War II, when Americans were ‘spotting’ UFOs all over the place.

A theory arose that the US government reverse-engineered technology recovered from these alien aircraft and got their hands on advanced healing technologies.

In the video, AI Trump said: ‘These facilities are safe, modern and designed to restore every citizen to full health and strength.

‘This is the beginning of a new era in American healthcare.’

Spread recently by the QAnon far-right political movement, the conspiracy theory claims that the US government has been using the technology to cure the elite of disease, re-grow missing limbs and reverse aging.

Some believe that the government is hiding the technology from the general population.

However, AI Trump informed the public otherwise in the video the real US president shared online.

The fake Trump added: ‘Every American will soon receive their own medbed card.

‘With it, you’ll have guaranteed access to our new hospitals led by the top doctors in the nation, equipped with the most advanced technology in the world.’

Unsurprisingly, the video was brought up to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt this week, who waved off concerns about Trump spreading false information.

Leavitt stated: ‘I think the president saw the video and posted it and then took it down, and he has the right to do that, it’s his social media.

‘He is incredibly transparent as you all know, you hear from him directly on social media.

‘He likes to share memes, he likes to share videos, he likes to repost things that he see other people post on social media as well and I think it’s quite refreshing that we have a president who is so open and honest.

‘Many times on Truth, you are hearing directly from the president of the United States.’

It’s still quite unclear as to why the US president decided to share the video, though many will assume that not much thought was involved.
