Nutrition for Today: In defense of seed oils

If you read about seed oils on the internet, you might believe they are the villains of the food world, that they cause inflammation, are toxic, and are stripped of all their antioxidants.
Seed oils are derived from the seeds of plants. Examples include grapeseed oil, flaxseed oil, canola oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil and soybean oil. Oils labeled “vegetable oil” are typically made from seeds, and usually contain a blend of soybean and other oils.
