COVID mRNA Vaccine and Spike Protein Identified in Human Heart Tissue

Multiple independent analyses, including those by Verma 2021, Krauson 2023, Schwab 2023, and Gill 2023 have concretely demonstrated Pfizer or Moderna mRNA and/or Spike antigen in human heart tissue following vaccination, primarily in myocarditis or sudden‑death autopsies, verified by RT‑qPCR, in situ hybridization, or protein immunostaining.
Together, these findings establish a clear biological pathway by which vaccine‑derived Spike mRNA reaches and is expressed within the human myocardium.

Investigated acute myocarditis in a 42 year old man after taking Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
Findings: diffuse lymphocytic myocarditis with strong spike protein expression in scattered cardiomyocytes; no nucleocapsid antigen by immunostaining, implying vaccine‑derived Spike rather than infection.
Authors did not sequence mRNA directly, but antigen localization pattern mirrored later studies that confirmed vaccine mRNA in situ.
Authors conclude “mRNA vaccination may rarely trigger an immune‑mediated myocarditis characterized by transient cardiomyocyte injury and inflammatory infiltration without evidence of viral replication.”
This NEJM correspondence is generally recognized as the first histopathologic evidence that vaccine‑encoded Spike can appear in human heart tissue.

Performed in situ hybridization for spike mRNA and immunolabeling for Spike protein in autopsy hearts of adult men who died unexpectedly within two weeks of mRNA vaccination.
Both the Pfizer (BNT162b2) and Moderna (mRNA‑1273) coding sequences were detectable at low copy number in cardiomyocytes and microvascular endothelium, absent viral N RNA.
This paper provided the first direct molecular confirmation of vaccine‑mRNA presence in human myocardium.

Authors documented spike mRNA fragments and Spike protein staining restricted to affected myocardium.

Autopsy of two teenagers (Pfizer) → myocarditis.
Immunohistochemistry showed spike antigen present within the myocardium, no nucleocapsid antigen, supporting vaccine source.
Electron microscopy found mild cardiomyocyte damage consistent with immune injury rather than direct cytopathic effect.
Despite these observations, the European Society of Cardiology has reiterated a false narrative derived from inpatient troponin data in severe COVID-19 illness (mainly from 2020) that SARS-CoV-2 infection itself poses a greater risk, so more mRNA vaccination and exposure to the heart should be undertaken. ESC does not cite or express any concern over fatal cases of COVID-19 vaccine myopericarditis in mainly young persons.
