‘Much more than cloud seeding’: State Rep. Butler working to ban…

In a conversation with 1819 News on Monday, State Rep. Mack Butler (R-Rainbow City) discussed the public’s growing concern about the increasing presence of “chemtrails” in the skies of Alabama. Chemtrails are defined as “long-lasting airplane contrails composed of harmful chemical or biological agents.”

Butler recently refiled legislation in the State House to address the issue by making it a crime to release any chemical, substance, or apparatus into the sky with the intention of affecting the weather or sunlight.

The lawmaker said while he has some uncertainty on the topic of chemtrails, “there is something there” worth looking into.

“I do not know if they are doing what we think they’re doing or not, but there’s something there,” he told 1819 News.

Butler has been informed by those in the agricultural industry that a rise in stratospheric aluminum, one of the suspected agents in chemtrails, could now be harming crops and prompting producers to develop aluminum-resistant seeds.

“You’re seeing [EPA director] Lee Zeldin talking about and RFK talking about it. But what’s concerning is the aluminum deposits they are finding in the stratosphere,” Butler noted. “There’s so much as I understand from people I’ve talked to, they’re having to make a lot of our seeds now aluminum-resistant. Aluminum is naturally occurring in the soil. But apparently, there’s been an increase in it.”

Butler revealed that almost immediately after filing the bill, he received a call from a corporation specializing in cloud seeding, urging him to withdraw it.

“The funny thing is, as soon as I filed this legislation, guess who I heard from? Rainmaker. I think it’s like a 25-year-old CEO. They immediately contacted me,” Butler stated. “Saying ‘please don’t file this legislation or do a carve out’, because when people say it’s not happening, I can assure you that it’s all over the nation.”

“We know that cloud seeding has taken place and been taking place, but we think this is much more than cloud seeding, at least the people I work for. My job is to represent the people, and this is something that they’ve wanted.”

According to Butler, the chemtrails all but disappeared during the government shutdown.

“It’s just funny, during the shutdown, we didn’t see the things,” he contended. “It was so prominent today, such a pretty day. But they were not seen, somebody even commented until the government opened back up. We didn’t see those.”

Butler said his legislation mirrors a Florida law, making violations a felony that are accompanied by a six-figure fine.

“Florida made it a felony. $100,000 fine. That’s what my piece of legislation does. I filed it and I’m open to looking, talking and amending it, but I think the conversation needs to be had,” he asserted.

Butler reiterated the American public’s focus and interest on the subject, referencing similar bills introduced in approximately 30 other states.

“This is important to the people we work for. And I’m already starting to see lots of comments. You can tell this is a topic that people are interested in,” Butler argued. “It’s just funny that when I filed the legislation, people from other states started calling me about it. I think it was introduced in maybe 30 states last year. Tennessee and Florida are the only ones I know that have passed it, but it’s being filed all over.”

“You know, it’s just funny that people say it’s not happening, and then I’ve got a company that does it for a living, going, please don’t do that,” he continued. “So, is it happening or is it not happening?”

“If it’s not happening, what harm is it to do it?” Butler asked.
