New York Times calls out CDC for faulty covid guidance

A claim by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that “less than 10 percent” of all cases of Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) transmission occur outdoors is wildly misleading, The New York Times is reporting.

The reality, the Times says, is that less than one percent of Chinese Virus cases occur from outdoor spread, and the CDC is trying to make that percentage sound higher.

The CDC might as well phrase it that less than 100 percent of Wuhan Flu cases occur outdoors because that would be just as accurate. Anything the CDC can do to scare people into not living normal lives seems to be the goal.

“[That] number is almost certainly misleading,” warns reporter David Leonhardt about the CDC’s claim.

“Saying that less than 10 percent of Covid transmission occurs outdoors is akin to saying that sharks attack fewer than 20,000 swimmers a year. (The actual worldwide number is around 150.) It’s both true and deceiving.”

What the CDC appears to have done is misclassify some cases of covid transmission that may have occurred indoors rather than outdoors. The private corporation posing as a federal agency then used those faulty numbers to try to scare people into not going outside.

According to Dr. Muge Cevik, a virologist at the University of St. Andrews, the CDC’s official figure “seems to be a huge exaggeration.”

“In truth,” Leonhardt added, “the share of transmission that has occurred outdoors seems to be below 1 percent and may be below 0.1 percent … The rare outdoor transmission that has happened almost all seems to have involved crowded places or close conversation.”

Facts are relative?

Facts have never really influenced CDC decision-making, however, as the corporation is still warning Americans not to go outside because they might catch Chinese Germs from someone walking or talking near them.

The CDC also contends that people should still wear a mask outdoors because thin, made-in-China plastic and cloth is fully capable of filtering out microscopic viruses, the government insists.

Based on the CDC’s faulty data, it is urging children at summer camp to wear a mask at all times. Adults should also wear a mask as much as possible, even outdoors, because they might also contract the Wuhan Flu, the CDC claims.

“These recommendations would be more grounded in science if anywhere close to 10 percent of Covid transmission were occurring outdoors. But it is not,” Leonhardt contends.

“There is not a single documented Covid infection anywhere in the world from casual outdoor interactions, such as walking past someone on a street or eating at a nearby table.”

How anyone would know one way or another where they contracted the Chinese Virus remains a mystery. Even Leonhardt failed to explain in his piece how the government is able to determine where or how someone who tests “positive” for Chinese Germs contracted the virus.

As it turns out, the CDC’s recommendations are based on a few studies out of Singapore that looked at transmission rates on construction sites. Not only is the data limited, but the results do not even imply what the CDC says they do.

“We didn’t classify it according to outdoors or indoors,” stated Yap Wei Qiang, a spokesman for Singapore’s Ministry of Health, revealing that the CDC is perpetuating more junk science.

“It could have been workplace transmission where it happens outdoors at the site, or it could also have happened indoors within the construction site.”

In other words, the CDC is about as adept at interpreting science as a rock, and simply cannot be trusted to provide proper guidance about anything.
