More than eight months after former President Donald Trump lost the election in Arizona, he’s still spreading misinformation about that election, encouraged by the audit in Maricopa County.
Polling shows the majority of Republicans believe Trump’s debunked claims of fraud, and many baselessly expect him to be reinstated.
Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, a Republican who defeated a Democrat in the 2020 election, isn’t among them.
After first getting involved in politics through an audit of the 2018 election, Richer has become one of the chief critics of the Senate’s audit.
The Show spoke with him about his stance, beginning with what kind of real fraud he’s seeing come out of the 2020 election.
