Video thanking Hungarian key workers doesn’t show pandemic is staged

Just imagine what could happen if we all stood together for change…

If you’re reading this, you’ll probably agree that access to accurate, impartial information is critical to making good decisions. Yet in 2021, we spotted hundreds of misleading ‘facts’ and errors in our news and online, from false claims about vaccines being used in Parliamentary debate, to misleading news reporting about Covid-19.

It’s not just annoying, but harmful–to our communities, our democracy and even our health. Luckily, thousands of people across the UK chipped in to help make sure bad information was caught out this year, and countered with the evidence. Their incredible support meant we could fact check hundreds of false claims, and correct the record on BBC Radio 4, and in the Guardian, the Sun, the Economist and more.

Unfortunately, without you joining them, bad behaviour could go unchallenged in 2022. In becoming a supporter, you’ll be our best guarantee that tens of millions of people across the UK will be able to access accurate, unbiased facts on the issues that affect their lives.

If you’ve found our work in any way useful, could you chip in to help make next year a more honest one?

Just £5 a month (or around the price of two coffees) can make a really big difference in making sure our media and politicians are held accountable for false claims next year.
