From The Right: The Fourth Estate joins the Fifth Column

Few things are more important to the life of our Republic than a fair and vigilant press, often referred to as “The Fourth Estate.” The Old Soviet Union had its Pravda which was the state-owned newspaper and was the mouthpiece of the Communist Party. If the Western nations led by the United States did something good or great you could count on Pravda finding something wrong with the accomplishment or outright ignoring the accomplishment. If this reminds you of our current national media they would rival Pravda in the blatant media bias we have lived with during the term of Donald J. Trump.
Over the life of our Republic we have seen segments of the American press go off the rails in their editorial positions but we almost always had a counter balance within the press to bring a balanced perspective to covering major events. There was a day that most major cities in America had two or more local papers bringing both the liberal and conservative perspective to their readers.
But now, with the internet, newspaper readership has decreased dramatically. and since most large cities are run by Democrat officials, their newspapers reflect the agendas of the Democrat Party.
In my home state of Missouri, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reflected the liberal perspective and the St. Louis Globe Democrat espoused the conservative perspective. Today, only the St. Louis Post Dispatch has survived so St. Louis readers today only read the liberal perspective of the Post Dispatch.
The days are long gone when newspapers ruled the the day on influencing public opinion as the internet, talk radio and cable TV have their own significant audience. However, newspapers are still important, especially in covering local and area news. But, smaller local papers have often been bought up and become part of a single ownership group which will tailor a segment of the paper to local news but then share state, national and international stories from the AP , USA TODAY and REUTERS.
These news outlets all have a definite liberal perspective. Add to this the liberal slant of cable News — other than Fox News — and the jaded liberal perspective of network news — ABC, NBC and CBS — the Fourth Estate has now become a Fifth Column ally within the United States.
So what is a Fifth Column? Merriam Webster defines “Fifth Column” as a group of secret sympathizers or supporters of an enemy that engage in espionage or sabotage within defense lines or national borders.
The Fifth Column, which we now describe as “the Deep State,” has existed since Trump declared his candidacy and have been exposed by their own emails and notes as men and women who abused their positions in government to deliberately undermine Trump before and after his election.
The leader in this Fifth Column effort appears to have been the FBI headed by James Comey and other FBI staff, including Peter Strzok and his FBI lover Lisa Page, whose e-mails were virulently anti-Trump.
Recent revelations of other FBI personnel show that they were so concerned about their actions that they internally discussed getting liability insurance should their actions ever become public. There were other Fifth Columnist, including Andy McCabe of the FBI and Bruce Ohr in the Justice Department, Democrat Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
The Fifth Column infiltrated into the FISA Courts, in which the Inspector General found 17 errors in the documentation which allowed the Obama administration to spy on Carter Page, a Trump supporter, and the Trump campaign before the election.
It now appears that the whole hoax of Trump/Russian collusion was initially orchestrated by Hillary Clinton campaign as a diversion tactic to take the spotlight off of her deleting 33,000 emails from her unsecured, private server.
Among the Fifth Column we have the Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller whose two-year, $30 million investigation showed no collusion and was a complete waste of time and money created to bring the president down. The Mueller team was led by an strident anti-Trump attorney Andrew Weissman and the vast majority of Mueller’s team were financial supporters of either President Obama or Hillary Clinton.
This group was desperate to find some wrong doing by Trump but failed. What they did not fail to do was “accidentally wiping” over two dozen of their phones clean prior to turning them back to the Inspector General’s Office.
The combination of the events and personnel I described forged the behind the scenes efforts of the Fourth Estate supporting the Fifth Column to bring down the president of the United States.
