Great Reset

Newly launched PBM to bring about ‘new political standard’, says Nor Hizwan

SHAH ALAM: The newly-launched multiracial Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) aims to bring about a new political standard with its main agenda known as “The Great Reset 2030”, says party member Nor Hizwan Ahmad.

Nor Hizwan, who is Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin’s former political secretary, said that the party would focus on six main pillars, being a multiracial party; representing the voices of the youth; championing the rights of women; economy; science and technology; as well as education.

He added that the party has 53,109 grassroots members from the non-governmental organisation Penggerak Komuniti Negara Malaysia (PKN).

Nor Hizwan is PKN chairman and also the chief executive officer of the Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC), which is under Zuraida’s ministry.

Zuraida, who has been speculated to join the party, was not present at the launch.

Larry Sng was elected as PBM deputy president in the party’s EGM on Nov 14.

Asked to clarify who would helm the party, Nor Hizwan said that the party leadership was in communication with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to hold a fresh extraordinary general assembly to decide this.

“We will propose a few names to our members to become our president.

“I am shocked as they are ‘big names’,” he said.

Asked how many members from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia would join the party, he said that he did not have such figures.

“We welcome those who want to join our party,” he said, adding that he resigned from Bersatu a few weeks ago.
