WATCH| “UFO” Spotted In Zimbabwe & Zambia On 8 July 2022 Explained

An unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted in the sky in various locations in Zimbabwe.

The UFO appeared in the form of a “string/train of lights”. This publication understands that the string of lights was also sighted in Zimbabwe’s northern neighbour, Zambia.

The alleged UFO sightings have sent Zimbabweans on Twitter into overdrive. A section of Zimbabweans has been wondering if the UFO is proof of alien life. iHarare presents some of the reactions to the UFO sightings in Zimbabwe below:

Another section of Zimbabweans said the alleged UFO sightings in Zimbabwe were the International Space Station (ISS).

However, information gathered by this publication indicates that the UFO sighted in Zimbabwe may not have been evidence of alien life.

It is possible that the alleged UFO was Elon Musk’s 53 Starlink satellites.

On Thursday, July 7 at 9:11 a.m. ET, SpaceX launched 53 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

These satellites were part of 12,000 Starlink satellites to be launched to provide global internet coverage from space.

Zimbabwe is not the only country to report UFO sightings after the launch of the Starlink satellites. Following the launch of the first satellites, a flurry of UFO sightings was reported.

One Dutch website, in particular, was flooded with posts about a “train of light” moving at a constant speed. Astronomer Marco Langbroek from the Netherlands captured a video of the string of satellites and it went viral.
