Kendal man witnesses UFO above Sizergh Fell | The Westmorland Gazette – The Westmorland Gazette

A KENDAL man has claimed he witnessed a mysterious sighting on the top of Sizergh Fell.

The man was walking his dog on the popular walking route and spotted a strange unidentified object flying above him in the sky.

The incident happened on October 10 at 9:30am, when the man was making his way across the fields toward the fell after beginning his walk at the Sizergh Castle visitors centre car park.

He headed south west through the overflow car park and was heading in the direction of Levens before a strange light appeared above him.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “Whilst walking through a field I noticed what appeared to be a bright star shining in the clear blue sky.

“As I was watching the object became obviously bigger and the brightness intensified.

“It appeared to be a star but it was in the morning and it was almost totally brilliant blue. This bright object was shining so brightly and then it grew larger. It only lasted maybe five seconds and then it disappeared.

“It vanished. I didn’t have time to get my camera out.

“There was a woman up there running and I asked her but she said she didn’t see it. It was very strange but there must be an explanation.

“I don’t believe in aliens and I don’t think that what it was. It was just an unidentified object in the sky which I saw.

“There were no little green men or anything like that but I would class it as a UFO.

“I thought who do you tell about this, your friends, the police? The way the world is with Ukraine, drones, the RAF, the government doing tests. Who knows. It was something I’ll remember for a long time to come though.

“I wonder if anyone else saw anything like this?”
